Celebrating Eastern Indonesia: Islands, Flavours & Stories

#Dining

A culinary journey through Eastern Indonesia, presented by 1945 Restaurant in collaboration with Chef Petty Elliott.

This October, 1945 Restaurant invites guests to discover the flavours and stories of Eastern Indonesia. The special collaboration brings together Chef de Cuisine Yopi Tumeru and London-based Indonesian Chef Petty Elliott as part of Wonderful Indonesia Gastronomy (WIG) 2026.

Together, the two chefs celebrate the rich culinary heritage of Indonesia’s eastern archipelago. The menu draws inspiration from local ingredients, traditional recipes and cooking techniques passed down through generations.

The journey begins with Ikan Gohu, followed by the comforting flavours of Papeda. Guests can also enjoy smoky Sapi Se’i, aromatic Ikan Woku and the classic sweetness of Klapertaart. Each dish highlights a different part of Eastern Indonesia and the traditions behind its cuisine.

Guests can explore the menu through à la carte dishes starting from IDR 120,000++. Alternatively, the full experience is available as a curated set menu at IDR 1,000,000++ per person.

Available from 3 to 31 October 2026, Celebrating Eastern Indonesia: Islands, Flavours & Stories offers a new way to experience Indonesia through food. Discover distinctive flavours, local traditions and culinary stories from across the eastern archipelago.
